Diamond on the Road
I saw a diamond lying on the road,
right in the middle of the crowd.
People passed by it day and night,
and no one seemed to see the light.
I shared about the diamond that I saw,
‘n told them that it was still a little raw.
No one believed it had the grace,
instead saw a stone in its place.
I continued staring at the gem,
and did not stop sharing either.
Hoping that one day someone would see,
the jewel that could actually be the key.
At last there was someone who stopped by
and saw the diamond lying nearby.
I was happy someone did see the opportunity,
and not just the stones lying neat n pretty.
We jumped and grabbed the colorful stone,
precious it was and we were completely blown.
We saw it was indeed a gem,
worth more than anything we could sum.
Life gives us a thousand opportunities,
that we keep passing day and night.
Only if we could believe what we see,
our life would be different and full of glee!!
