How to instil the right habits in children?

How do we instil the right values in our children?

Children are like small plants. They will grow on their own provided we nurture them with the right soil, water, and sunlight.
Parents should be like the fence around the kids. Protect them from unwanted elements of the society. Like how a Fence protects a plant from the cows eating them, or somebody else plucking them. But the Fence doesn’t touch the plant, it gives space for the plant to grow on its own.

How do we do it?
Make sure the environment in the house is nurturing. Parents should stop watching TV and stop discussing all the negative news, gossiping etc. Stop negative habits and start positive habits. Provide the right culture. It is like culturing them, cultivating them, without they knowing.

How do we do it?

1. Keep the right books around the house, not inside the cupboard. Keep the books on the dining table, in the living room, in the bed room, so they can pick them up easily and read them instead of going through TV or Phone.

2. Put the right quotes, messages, and proverbs around the house on the walls and keep talking about the wisdom in them.

3. Play light classical music in the background in the office and at home, all the time. The music will increase the positive vibrations and will engage the mind and not allow the mind to think of negative news.

4. From a young age, put the kids into classical dance, music, art classes etc. So they are in the right direction and their minds will get cultivated with the wisdom in the songs, art etc.

5. Eat vegetarian, homemade fresh food. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Don’t buy outside food. Don’t buy cakes, chocolates, biscuits. Eat in silence. No watching TV. Remove the TV from the house. Remove the newspapers. Remove everything that causes negativity and drains our energy.
Replace them with positive energy and information.

4 S - Practise this daily.

1. Satsang - Be in the company of the right people. Their thoughts will influence you. Interact with them and learn from each other.

2. Swadhaya - Read the right books about understanding what is life and what is our purpose. Ask questions, and clarify. Plant the right seeds in the kids mind. Keep learning and growing.

3. Sadhana - Keep practising everything you are learning. Practise the truth, the right wisdom. Like we practise dance, music, art daily, practise life lessons. Practise being in silence, practice right habits, practice meditation.

4. Seva or Service - Whatever you are learning, share it with others. Seva can be giving or donating or sharing anything that you have, for the good of others. Like sharing a smile, handshake, wisdom, books, knowledge, food, thoughts, motivation, time, energy and resources and inspiring others. By sharing or doing seva, we will empty our energy and make space for fresh ideas and information to come in. Like when we draw water from a well,  new water will flow in. Otherwise, water will get stagnated.

Sat Chit Ananda - Reality of Life

Sat Chit Ananda - This is what we truly are. This is the real us. This is the state of consciousness, fully enlightened masters.

Sat - Truth - all that exists, existence

Chit - always conscious, consciousness

Ananda - always blissful

If we are conscious of this existence, then we are always happy and blissful.

We need to understand the truth of this existence. That knowledge will liberate us.

Ignorance of the knowledge of this existence/life is what causes suffering.

If this existence was created by God(creator) then how can god be wrong. So it means everything in this existence has to be right, correct, perfect because god created it.

So if everything is right and correct, then we have to be always happy.

Why are we complaining?

Because we listen to the stories others tell us. It is like a drama they play.

We think the others are right.

We want to impress them.

So we think we are wrong.

We try to do everything to make our life right, so we can impress the society.

But the fact is, there is nothing to correct in our life.

Nobody is wrong. Nobody is right.

But everyone thinks they are wrong.

The thinking is what is making it wrong.

We need to let go of that limited thinking.

We need to drop the mind.

We should not listen to the mind

Then we realise everything is correct and perfect as it is.

This is the truth

Once we realize it, we become realised souls

Self realisation sets in.

We awaken ourselves to the truth

The path to enlightenment starts

Then we realise there are so many such truths in this existence

One by one, everything is revealed to us in visions, in meditation.

There are stages to enlightenment

Just this knowledge that we are the souls and not the body or mind, is the start of the enlightenment

Then we will become partially enlightened

If we continue the journey, one day, either this lifetime or some other lifetime, we will be fully enlightened.

Then that realisation will end this cycle of samsara or the cycle of life and deaths.

Then we will transcend to the next dimension what people call heaven.

We become angels and fairies and guides to others in this reality.

As angels our job is to help other people find this truth

To help other people end their suffering

The more people we help, the more consciousness spreads.

Then we complete our work and move to the next dimensions

Where life is very different and easy and there we exist as energies or spirits. We will not have a physical body.

We exist as light and love.

All the angels, fairies, spirits, semi divine celestial beings live there.

Then from that dimension, we will continue to guide people and send messages to them through their intuition and awaken them

Once we have done enough work and helped enough people to awaken, we can then move to next higher dimension where we become divine beings and take on bigger roles of creating different worlds, realities, creating universes etc like how Brahma created this world, we can also start creating more worlds like this and play with them.

Exactly like the way we create our paintings, play sports, compose music etc., and enjoy, we create worlds and souls and enjoy playing with the real worlds and people.

That’s why realized souls keep telling in their songs and writings and talks, that this world is a PLAY, a Leela of god. So why are you unnecessarily complaining and suffering.

Surrender to that creator and enjoy life, he will guide us and lead us.

So this world and life is a play. It is not real. It is a game. It is a illusion(Maya)

We need to awaken to this truth.

That is the purpose of life.

That is our dharma.

Instead of following the purpose, we get stuck with the drama and trauma of life and get caught in samsara(cyclical patterns) and bondage and suffer.

In fact there is nothing called suffering.

Everything is perfect and the truth is perfect.
Knowledge of this truth liberates us from suffering.

So life is easy and joyful. So just enjoy everything that happens. Everything that is given to us.

Every person that comes to our life.

Every difficulty that shows up.

It is all a play of the mind. It is like a computer game.

One level we solve, next challenge comes up, we go to next level and next and there is no end at all.

Break free from this cycle. Understand the truth. Become conscious of this existence. Then we will always be blissful.
